1984 50th Anniversary 300ZX Turbo New to Club 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I just joined after a couple of people mentioned that this is the best and most active Z club in the Atlanta Area. I just bought a 1984 50th Anniversary Turbo ZX out of Kentucky. The car has only 69,000 miles and I am the 2nd owner. I bought it from the original owner and it was stored inside for the past 9 years and then over the past 3 months the owners friend who owns a custom shop took it out and started getting it ready again.

Here is some of the upgrades on this Anniversary car he did:
18X8 front and 18X9 rear WORK VX-SS Wheels
Potenza 225-40-18 front and 275-35-18 rear tires
Stillen cross drilled rotors front and back
1996 300ZX 4 Piston Caliper Conversion Painted RED front and back
steel braided brake lines front & rear
    Stillen Cat Back Exhaust
Front and Rear adjustable coil over suspension
    Prothane Bushings
    B&M Short throw Shifter
Relocated the oil filter up to the battery
    Optima Red battery
    3 A Piller Guages for Turbo/Oil/Pyro
removed oem fan and installed 2 12 inch electric fans
    K&N Filter Charger kit installed
front and rear cross strut tower brace bars for engine and going across back hatch area

Plus: New timing belt, water pump, clutch master cylinder, coolant bypass hose, slave cylender, brake pads, NGK plugs, cap & rotor, ball joints thermostat, all belts, changed all fluids in the car even the rear.

Plus even more done to the car. Now you see why I had to buy it. Look forward to being an active member on this site and in the Club.

Hey thanks for the welcome, Im not trying to stir things up but my 2008 350Z/Z33 is a 35th edition body type; the 35th edition being a 2005 350z model. The 40th anniversary was just produced in 2010 370Z, the 50th anniversary will be in 2020. Just to verify check www.zcon2010.com I'm just saying?

Hi RACERX,
yes the 1984 50th Anniversary 300ZX was produced for the 50th Anniversary of Nissan where is the 2005 350ZX you have is for the 35th Anniversary of the Nissan Z car. There were only around 5000 50th Anniversary 300zx produced for the US at a sticker cost of $26,000 in 1984 dollars. Around $54,000 today in 2010 dollars. and 300 Produced for Canada. They are very rare cars that most people have actually never seen in person or on the road. The Gold key I am showing is the actual gold key that came with the car from Nissan in 1984. I just joined the site so I am not sure if there are any other 50th Anniversary owners as members. Being 26 years old there are not many of these around these days. I may be the only one here. Just google 1984 50th Anniversary 300ZX if you want to see the car or find out about it.

Hey , thanks for explaining after i had posted that i was rethinking already that maybe that was the case that nissan was celebrating 50 years of production, I will be the first to admit when I am wrong , I am so no hard feelings that is a cool car. I have been a big fan of the Z car since I was a little kid. AS you can tell by my profile , I was five when the first 240z was built back in 1970 to compete with the Triumph Spitfire and the Porsche , Thanks Matt

No problem, Here are a couple of pictures of the car:

Remember this is really old school talking 26 years ago. this car was very advanced for its day. The previous owner put thousands into high dollar mods and those Stillen cross drilled rotors have 1996 300ZX twin turbo Calipers. The exhaust is Stillen also and sounds good.
I am looking at having the car put into the body shop for a a complete restoration where it will look like it drove off the showroom. The stripes will have to be painted on as they are not available anymore anywhere.

Has the mirrored t-tops also which will be fun in a couple of months.
